We are delighted to present our new Strohboid Pavilion – an architectural masterpiece that serves as our new meditation spot under the starry sky.
This pavilion is more than just a tent. Peli Kastri is a mindfulness centre founded by Elisabeth and Peter Riedl to offer people a retreat by the sea that focuses on their own mental and physical development. We were looking for an extension to our facility that not only respects these values, but actively emphasises them.

The pavilion consists of a patented wooden lattice structure made from locally sourced and sustainably managed wood. This innovative material is not only environmentally friendly, but also surpasses steel in terms of stability. The translucent membrane roof allows natural light to flood into the space, creating a bright, inviting atmosphere that protects and connects with the outside world. It feels like sitting under a protective canopy of leaves, sheltered from the wind and weather, yet still surrounded by nature.
