Discover what lies within you and embark on a transformative journey to yourself. At a time when the world around us is becoming increasingly noisy and demanding, this retreat invites you to pause and engage in self-exploration, to take a journey inward.
Under the guidance of Hans Peter Weidinger, Daniela Weidinger and Michael Haid, intensive self-awareness through holotropic breathing is combined with the powerful nature of South Pelion in Greece. The process is supported by meditation and mindful hiking. This opens up a space for awareness, growth and new vitality.
Holotropic Breathing
Holotropic breathing, developed by Stanislav Grof, combines consciously accelerated breathing, supportive music, process-oriented bodywork and intuitive painting to create an intense experiential process. ‘Holotropic’ is derived from the Greek words ‘holos’ and “trepein” and means ‘oriented towards the whole’. In a safe and mindfully guided setting, participants turn their attention to the inner processes and experiences that flow into consciousness from an expanded space of perception. This allows hidden potential for development in important areas of life to become accessible. Discussing the breathing experiences in the group helps participants to recognise and understand their significance for their own development and to integrate them into their everyday lives.
To start the day mindfully, we also offer sessions with silent and moving meditation.
The integration of experiences is also supported by mindful hiking:
We feel the ground beneath our feet, listen to the sounds of nature, and perceive colours, smells and shapes with alert senses. Nature becomes a mirror of our inner selves. Through conscious walking, we find our own rhythm and connect with ourselves and the world around us. The experiences from the breathing sessions can be organised and developed further.
‘When you walk, walk in such a way that each step brings you home – to the present moment’ (Thich Nhat Hanh).
